Johnnie Walker Princes Street is a five-star visitor attraction centre with immersive tours/tastings, rooftop bars, astonishing views of Edinburgh Castle, expertly crafted cocktails, locally sourced cuisine, an outstanding store, and amazing spaces you can hire, all in one unique building right in the heart of Scotland’s capital.

Children over the age of eight are welcome on the Journey of Flavour tour with a valid ticket and must be accompanied by an adult 18 years+ at all times. Please note that children under the age of 8 are not permitted on the Journey of Flavour tour due to health & safety reasons. All other tours and experiences are suitable for 18 years+ only. We do operate a 'Challenge 25 Policy' and guests who wish to enjoy alcoholic drinks during the experience may be asked to show an ID card as proof of age.

Unfortunately we cannot accept digital copies.

On our Journey of Flavour tour, we have a range of non-alcoholic options available for those who are not drinking alcohol during their visit. The cost remains the same for both drinkers and non-drinkers and they also have the option to get a driver’s kit, which includes miniature whiskies to take away. We operate a 48-hour cancellation/payment policy:All cancellations and amendment requests are accepted up to 48 hours prior to your tour and all outstanding invoices should be settled 48 hours before the start of your experience or tickets will be re-released for public sale.We advise all guests to arrive 15 minutes before the start time of your experience as latecomers may not be admitted.

Right now, we do not offer the tours in any language other than English. However, for the Journey of Flavour Experience we offer complimentary audio guide in Spanish, German, French, and Mandarin. This is included in the price of your tour ticket.

Join us for tutored tastings of an exceptional range of whiskies: view and book our whisky experiences.

We can hold onto your Retail Purchase for up to a maximum of 48 hours. To collect your items, you must retain a copy of your receipt and present to a member of the Retail Team at time of collection. If items are not collected within 48 hours, your purchase will be automatically refunded, and the products will be returned into stock. We cannot guarantee that if you return at a later date, the same items will be available to purchase.

The Johnnie Walker Princes Street shop is a one-of-a-kind retail experience housing a large collection of whisky, including some very special and limited editions, like Johnnie Walker, Talisker, Lagavulin, The Singleton and more.We are always innovating and frequently collaborate with many different brands and individuals, so keep your eyes open for the latest exciting exclusives.Visitors can also find in-store a huge range of Johnnie Walker merchandising, ideal for gifting loved ones or simply to treat yourself.

Visitors are more than welcome to visit the Johnnie Walker Princes Street shop without taking part of any of the tours offered.

1820 Rooftop Bar: 7 days, 10am-midnight (last orders 11.30pm).

STIR at the Explorers' Bothy Bar: Fridays & Saturdays, 6:30pm until late (last sitting at 9.30pm). Please note that opening hours do vary.

A private dining experience for group bookings of 6 people+ in our Blue Label Room.

Children under 18 are welcome in both the 1820 Bar and Blue Label Room when accompanied by an adult until 6pm. We’re pleased to offer non-alcoholic options for children and alcohol-free quenchers. Unfortunately, Children are not permitted in Explorers’ Bothy.

Bookings are available up to 3 months in advance. We always recommend to book in advance to avoid disappointment. We accept walk-ins on the day dependant on availability, however a table is not guaranteed. Please note that a reservation in the bar is not automatically included with an experience booking.

We are unable to guarantee exact table allocations; however, we can place your preference in the notes of your booking. Our beautiful 1820 Rooftop Bar is enclosed in glass and offers panoramic views of Edinburgh’s iconic landmarks. You will be assigned a table inside, but a table outside can be requested on arrival should weather permit.

Access to the terrace is available depending on weather conditions. Availability is on a first come first served basis.

We require a £5.00 deposit per person to confirm your booking, the deposit will be redeemed/taken off your bill at the time of your visit.

There is no on-site parking. Metered parking within Edinburgh City is subject to availability. Local buses stop regularly nearby so you can opt for the eco-friendly way to travel and enjoy our tasting experiences.

We do not have any lockers or luggage storage facilities at Johnnie Walker Princes Street. Guests are welcome to bring luggage with them on their tour, but we do have limited space, and guests must be responsible for their belongings at all times. We do not advise bringing large pieces of luggage or golf bags, however if you do need a place to store items such as these, there are multiple luggage storage facilities throughout Edinburgh city centre.

The Whisky Gift Card can be bought in-store and can be used in the retail store at Johnnie Walker Princes Street as well as our other visitor experiences across Scotland.The Journey of Flavour E-Gift Card can be purchased online via malts.com. Please select your preferred date and time, and proceed to a payment page.It will ask for card details, ignore this and go to just under this section where there will be a box to input the voucher code. Please note the codes are case sensitive, input it with the correct capitalisation, numbers etc. Then validate it.If you have selected more tickets than the value of the voucher you will need to input your card details along with the voucher code.Proceed with the rest of the purchase questions and the code will be automatically applied to the booking.Please note that if you have multiple vouchers, you will need to make a separate booking for each voucher as only one code can be used per booking.We are not offering e-gift vouchers for our other experiences or bars just yet, but we are working on introducing these in the future.

We are delighted to confirm that Johnnie Walker Princes Street is fully accessible, and we have consulted with Euan’s Guide to provide accessibility information in advance.
Our tours are fully accessible with elevator access to all floors as well as wheelchairs lifts between shorter levels. We also have a wheelchair for guests to use which is available upon request and subject to availability.

Our Journey of Flavour Tour is highly immersive and uses a combination of flashing lights, media, music, sensory moments and special effects that may not be suitable for all audiences.
